By 2030, GAA, a group of 36 agri-businesses (see full list) that includes Bidco Africa Ltd., Flour Mills of Nigeria, Olam International and Wilmar International Ltd. hopes to have made an impact on major environmental and social challenges facing agricultural supply chains and rural communities across the world. The companies already involved are headquartered across the world with representation from Africa, Asia, Australia, U.S. and South America. The companies involved currently work in multiple commodities, including grains, dairy, edible nuts, edible oils, pulses, rubber, sugar and agro-chemicals.

thousands of young and women entrepreneurs take advantage of agri-business opportunities.
In an MoU with the KCB Foundation at least 1,000 youths will access guaranteed oil seed markets and another will receive 1,500 internship opportunities. Bidco also signed additional MoUs with the African Women Entrepreneurship Program AWEP and the Vision 2030 Youth Entrepreneurship Associates. AWEP has a membership of 30,000 who will be mobilized to plant oil seeds for Bidco while the Vision 2030 group will engage 10,000 of their members every year for the next five years.
The partnership with KCB is part of KCB’s Sh50 billion Jiajiri programme. It will provide 1,000 entrepreneurs every year with training, technical support and market linkages. KCB Foundation will do the technical capacity building and Bidco will provide a guaranteed market for the entrepreneurs’ products in its sunflower and soya value chains.
